Meeting with the Dean

Well, last week, I headed for UM's Dental Faculty to meet the Dean over my complaint. It wasn't too bad except that she finds lame excuses as to why different doctors told me different things and couldn't explain the delay of the diagnosis. Amazingly she was annoyed with my second email stating I am too young to use such big words and rather disrespectful to someone like her. Well hello Professor!!! Who's the one who had no courtesy to even send me an acknowledgement email? My first email was polite but you had no courtesy so you got what you deserved. Being the better person, I still apologised but I must remind you that, you may be a professor in dentistry but you do not know everything. However, I do respect the fact that you took time to investigate my complaint and sit and have a talk with me although the outcome wasn't to my satisfaction but at least you tried. It will be unlikely I will be returning to the dental faculty for anything after this bad experience. Takes 3 months to diagnose and they don't tell you early and when they do, all they can say is "You have to live with it". One word; INCOMPETENT

Nothing much really happened the past few days except I am seeking treatment for my hearing loss and pain at SJMC and the service there is better. Work is stressful all the same but MouseHunt is going well. Can't wait for my vacation and BSM camp.

Reuben's last day and useless RapidKL

Reuben threw a bombshell this morning stating his final day with the team was today (supposed to be end of the month). It was very quiet and as usual, Reubs went round cracking jokes cheering us up. At lunchtime, a few of us had lunch with him, Nisha and Prit.

Took the LRT to Taman Bahagia (sometimes I walk home from Kelana Jaya LRT station if I have the energy). Got off in time to board the bus that was leaving. A foreigner with crutches was struggling to board the bus but the stupid driver only opened one door at the front. Worst still, he didn't help another disabled with one arm in buying a ticket. What terrible customer service!!!

Unexciting evening. Work tomorrow (overtime). Followup and physio at the dentist on Saturday. Nothing new on MouseHunt. See how it goes this weekend.

Funny Day

Bad start in the morning by waking up late and my dad was forced to drive me to work. Got a shelling of my life as I made him take a wrong turn at Puchong causing us to head back to Sunway. Well, I reached work in time. It's Reuben's birthday so we all sang "Happy Birthday" as he walked to his desk.

The day went as normal and afternoon, I headed for HR to collect something. Coming down, Hardeep and the gang wanted to go to the cafe and sing "Happy Birthday" to Reuben again but Reuben was too quick and ran the other way lol. Later, the team bought 2 cakes and planned to trap him at Christine's place and he was caught!!!

As I mentioned earlier, Reuben was more than just my line manager and a great friend. Before all this took place, I always wanted to try something different e.g. lateral move and Christine did talk with me a while and asked what if I was given the opportunity to go elsewhere. I asked her if she and the rest are okay, I am fine but she said no hurry at the moment. I think a change would do me good too.

The rest of the day remained quiet and nothing exciting really took place.

Work Stress and Naughty Kitty

Ok so work was really stressful to be honest. I can't wait for my long leave in July where 2 whole weeks I'll be away. It is not that I don't like my job but I feel even the off days are too short. I wish we could just work 2 days and take 5 days off with the same pay lol. While the customer is always right, I wish they have common sense as in reading terms and conditions and asking questions before purchasing something. I once asked myself this question "If the customer is always right, then stealing wouldn't be a crime? What if the customer smacks you or uses profainity?"Think about it...

I visited Imran and Izlin in the evening and had a pleasant visit. It was nice but the kitten which was on Imran's shoulder when he was singing and Han Zhang referred to it as "puny" is somewhere between a kitten and a tom cat lol. To make its presence known to me, that kitten nibbled my fingers unexpectedly while I was talking with Imran's dad in the living room. That gave me a shock lol. It seems to like Izlin and simply jumps around. Unfortunately, I left my jacket behind but luckily I have a spare one at home but not sure when I will be meeting them again. Oh well.

Nothing extraordinary in MouseHunt except that I am hunting in SG (Seasonal Garden) to increase my tower's amplifier and go back to Zugzwang's Tower to go after the Chessmaster Mouse. Difficult I know when your rank is "Lord" since the maximum power percentage is 150% but worth a try.

Reuben moves on and Edilina moves up

After 5+ years of being in the same team as I and being my line manager for almost 3 years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Reuben although he will be with us but in a different team. When my colleague told me in the morning, I thought she was joking but he spoke to me later and said it is true. Reuben was more than just a manager but also a friend, a brother and a true leader. He never took anything to heart and forgives and forgets easily. I am going to miss his laugh and his smile, and my 1-1s with him. Thank you Reuben for everything!!!

Oh wait!!! There's more! Edilina has moved up replacing Reuben's place so congratulations to her and a promotion well deserved XD but I am still going to miss Reuben although I know Edilina will do just as good as Reuben did. All the best Edilina in your new role.

Dull day at home but exciting day in MouseHunt!!!

Being sick isn't fun since you can't get to do anything or go anywhere but at least it will help me recover quickly. Bought grandmother and myself breakfast while my dad had to go out. Stayed at home watching tv, talking with my grandmother and playing MouseHunt.

With a handful of Vengeful Vanilla Stilton, by a miracle, I managed to capture Balack the Banished!!!

I sounded the Hunter's Horn and was successful in the hunt! I caught a 2 lb. 2 oz. Balack the Banished worth 80,000 points and 41,000 gold.

With the resident's committee meeting tonight, I have to attend the meeting and see how we can improve our block :)

Funny Dream and Road to Recovery

I had a funny dream about one of my best friends and I really don't understand it at all. I dreamt that Han Zhang actually spent a week with me in my house and all we did was study Maths (believe me it is not my best subject and I don't know how or why of all the subjects it must be Maths. I wished it was English lol), play MouseHunt and chess. What a weird way to spend your 1 week with your best friend. To make it even more funny, my mom was alive!!! Weird, Han Zhang never met me when my mom was around all the more makes this dream a mystery. My dad too was puzzled about it. Well, in the dream when it was time for Han Zhang to return home, my mom actually told him he's polite and a nice boy (Now that I agree) and to come again. Not forgetting a hug I got from Han Zhang. It's all weird and I actually told him about it and he laughed lol. Maybe someday, he, or I may be able to understand. My dad said probably my mom is saying something but not sure how to interpret it.

The good news is, the jaw pain has lessened but my hearing has not improved. Fell sick with cough and cold sadly and resting at home. There goes my Red Crescent this week but nvm. In MouseHunt, I was at Dracano the whole day. Out of 54 Inferno Havartis, I managed to catch 6 Dragons with that. Well, I am off to Balack's Cove now.
